This is the best Asian grocery store in San Francisco!!!! It’s got a large enough parking lot that you can access it from anywhere, and it stocks so many Asian ingredients (especially Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino, and Chinese groceries) that aren’t available anywhere else. They are one of the last affordable large Asian grocery stores in the area and cater to locals who have been there forever.
For Chinese snacks, they have a unique and large variety to try from that aren’t carried at the normal large chains. And for cuts of meat, I’ve never been to a supermarket that stocked three types of fresh Filipino Longanisa at the butcher counter. It reminds me of the Asian supermarkets that I grew up going to.
It may not be the most beautiful supermarket, but it’s not supposed to be! It’s no frills, accessible, affordable, and amazing. The produce and meat is fresh, and they stock unique items not available at hmart, 99ranch, or other retailers, so it’s a fun treasure hunt to visit.
Come support this local business, and thank you to everyone who works here.
This place is actually closing soon. Went here one last time for the sales they have like 20-40% off but doesn't really say what items are on sale. You'll just find out when you pay.
This place has been around since I was a little kid. It was convenient because it was one of the first and only asian supermarkets near home.
Of course, with time, it has a bit of wear and tear, but it was never remodeled.
Curious to see what it will become.
Pacific Supermarket has a great selection of Asian products - some of the best in the area. Anytime I'm looking for any specific Chinese food item, I am able to find it at Pacific. They also have a fully staffed butcher and fish monger. The fresh meat and fish options are great. Parking is simple with their large parking lot.
This decrepit supermarket used to be a Cala foods 30 or so years ago and they haven't made any improvements to the building or the interior since probably 1990.
Places like this perpetuate the Asian stereotype of old and smelly markets with poor hygiene.
Pacific Supermarket caters to the lower income folks who live around the area.
The market itself seems well stocked and the prices reasonable but the decaying atmosphere as well as the smell of decaying meat and fish from the poorly cleaned butchers area is well.... disgusting.
Had the items I was looking for in dry noodles, fresh veggies, frozen potstickers, and snacks. Prices are similar to other Asian markets. Has fresh meats & seafood. After visiting most of the Asian markets in the area, I prefer H Mart. That place had a buzzy vibe. And has tons of meats ready for grilling.
Great selection of fish and meat. You can find unusual cuts you wouldn't elsewhere. Expansive fruit and vegetable section at very fair prices. Also huge selection of Asian foods.
I have never been here before but im itching to find out what its like as a customer experience, there are language barriers and most of the goods sold here are wholesale to buyer.
Typical Asian market. I read that the Alamany location is scheduled to close permanently soon. Local go to place for live Dungeness crab. Not cheap. Older run down discount market feel.
